Claudia Miller had the original vision to transform a 13-lot subdivision into a magical place to walk, be quiet, and enjoy nature. She called it Stillpoint.
With Claudia’s generosity and the help of the Martha’s Vineyard Land Bank, the Land Protection Fund for Martha's Vineyard, and other donors, we are making her vision available for future generations. Forty acres of land has been conserved for public use, and an existing solar-powered, state-of-the-art barn is being repurposed for educational use.
The Stillpoint project offers an antidote to social division, a place for hard conversations, deep reflection, and strengthening of community bonds. It will be a place both for esteemed teachers and for those who don’t yet have a platform—a place for all of us.
